A few years ago I saw a piece on local TV news about time off, vacations, etc. They interviewed the CEO of some startup that understood how important it is to take a break from work. He had a policy that when an employee took a two week vacation they had to completely disconnect from work. No checking emails, voicemails, chats, etc. If you were able to stay completely away from work for those two weeks then you would get something like a $1000 bonus to help pay for the vacation.

That’s the kind of CEO I would want to work for.
I often dont read emails when I am in the office.
How hard is it to disconnect from work that you need a $1,000 incentive?
