We watched a lot. I had a huge comment written up discussing the many episode’s and while swapping windows to check episode names Mlem reloaded and ate the comment.

The most recent episode of Voyager we watched was S5E18, the Fight, probably one of my least favorite non Q episodes of Trek.

That’s frustrating when things like that happen. I’ve got a forum I use that likes to randomly do a captcha, and when it does it completely wipes whatever you’ve been typing. 🤦

Glad you got to watch a good bit recently though!

I have an acquaintance that has mentioned about trying to pull together a group to play a Trek tabletop, I wonder if that is the game they were hoping to do. I’ve never done much with games like that but maybe sometime they’ll find enough people! Did you just find the rulebook confusing, or were there other issues?

It’s not just confusing, it’s badly written. For example: the Vulcans can’t win by normal means, they have to accomplish one of their agendas; the rulebook makes no mention of this. I would urge you to download the updated rulebooks and FAQ’s from Boardgamegeek and use those instead of the printed ones.

Yeah, I hadn’t seen it in a long time. It was much better then I remember. Am thinking of digging out my old 250GB drive from the mid 2000’s and fire it up and see if it still works - I have all the seasons of TOS in SD tucked away. Might be time to rewatch all of them. There’s a few that I want to watch again - Let That Be Your Last Battlefield, Plato’s Stepchildren, and The Children Shall Lead.

I didn’t watch too much of anything this week, but my spouse and I did watch Those Old Scientists from SNW again!

Rewatching DS9 and then listening to The Delta Flyers commentary. I don’t always A/B the episodes, I usually just watch a few to refresh my memory then listen to a few of the podcasts as time allows.

I’m currently on the second book of the “Cold Equations” trilogy.

Almost gave up on the first book 1/3 of the way through but glad I stuck with it. There was an entire chapter basically just describing the meal the character was enjoying lol. I mean, in context, it makes sense but it definitely seemed like it dragged on for a bit too long.

    Spoiler (Context)

The character was Noonien Soong after he uploaded his consciousness into an android body, and the chapter describing the meal was him exploring his senses, making sure everything was “still there”, and things like that.

Yeah, that would probably drag on a bit long for me too! I’m sometimes fine with movies/shows and books spending a lot of time on certain things like that, but sometimes it just doesn’t work for me.

I just bought a new e-reader recently, and your comment reminded me that I bought a bunch of Trek books on a Humble Bundle years ago, I should try to dig them up once I finish the books I’m reading now!
