Woody climbs up at the beginning of the scene, the camera pans around to show the bedframe and pillows, Buzz bounces and notes the unstable terrain, and Woody even mentions it’s a bed. Perhaps you’re just remembering incorrectly?
I have never seen the original scene, only the meme. Since the meme refers to the floor, I always thought he is standing on the floor.
