You can’t have no stance on social constructs you’ve been introduced to. The moment it’s existence has been made aware to you by other people, you now have a stance, even if that’s to dissociate from it. “Not political” doesn’t clearly say anything, but I’m inclined to think they don’t like hearing the stance of other’s—what political discourse is—implying they may actually have a very strong and unwavering stance but they don’t recognise it.
