The Quran is the primary religious text of Islam, akin to the Christian Bible. Mamdani is the first Muslim mayor of New York, the nation’s largest city.
Tuberville, a conservative football coach-turned-politician, has a history of making anti-Muslim statements, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR.
If he keeps to his Oath, he can swear on whatever book he wants.
Maybe that is why US politicians lie so much, the bible is the problem /s
Personally if I ever need to take an oath, I am doing it on a copy of the 7 tenets of the Satanic Temple.
That or Small Gods by Terry Pratchett.
If I’m ever sworn in to something, I want it to be on a VHS recorded copy of the “Drumhead” episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation. If that isn’t available, “Measure of a Man” is also acceptable.

When we swore an oath to protect The Constitution upon enlistment in the military, we didn’t use anything. Probably a good idea since I doubt that every MEPS branch wants to have several hundred holy books on hand, JIC.
