Did we forget who she is? Have younger generations no knowledge of her existence?
Honestly feel like she hasn’t done anything particularly visible in over a decade. Days of her constantly being in movies a lot of people would watch are 15+ years ago.
I think she just got bored of doing mainstream movies. Definitely has enough money that she doesn’t have to anymore.
im pretty sure she has been in recent movies, like malieficient, ETERNALS, she seems pretty okay not be lead in most of them.
Eternals was DoA, through no fault of hers. People just didn’t like it and it didn’t do very well. Maleficient was 2014, hence my opinion that she stopped being in movies that people see a decade ago. Maleficient was pretty much the last big one.
That actually reminds me I haven’t seen Maleficient. I should watch it, it seems fun.

Fair enough, but that doesn’t give her as much visibility or star power as she used to command.
I can legitimately see how younger folks might not get exposed to her much these days if they don’t watch older movies.
IIRC she had a cancer scare and put the brakes on her career to heal. I don’t care for Hollywood elite but as a human everybody should be allowed to focus on health.

I dunno, bringing a giant media spotlight to a dangerous mission seems pretty darn useful to me
