They seem to understand republicans far more than democracts, other than what they call the party.

      As Jesus intended

      * Jesus in this comment is American Jesus only. Any resemblance to other incarnations of Jesus are entirely coincidental and should not be inferred.

HP, I think, just represents using a generic PC. The stereotype is that liberals use Macs

If you think that, you live in a bubble. Go to an anti-Trump protest and ask what desktop operating system they use. Your answers will be “Windows is gross, ew, I use a Mac”, “Whatever my job gives me, I haven’t used a personal laptop in years”, and “What’s an operating system?”

I feel like this is because Japanese tourists hit up Hawaii and the west cost a lot. Affluent areas and the west coast tech scene are littered with Macs. And those areas are also pretty blue.

Agreeing/coming to an agreement, versus the “left” side constantly arguing.

Japan et al is a very societally conservative country and considers the typical right-wing mob/sheep mentality preferable to the left’s constant debates.

Japan et al is a very societally conservative country and considers the typical right-wing mob/sheep mentality preferable to the left’s constant debates.

Eh… Kind of? In my experience most people under 40 in Japan are completely apolitical. Like to the point where they wouldn’t really understand the difference between the left and right.

They have some of the worst voting turnout in the world, and the older class typically makes all the decisions in regards to government.

They are socially conservative, but mostly because the younger generations are completely disconnected from politics.

That’s how the west got where it is now. The majority no giving a shit opens the door for the minority/nutters to do what they want.

Being “apolitical” means you support the current system/party. If you didn’t you’d be political.

    The source, 2024 apparently:

Yes, that Nikkei, like the stock exchange:

Though it does feel like one of those “listicle” chum articles. The image feels a bit AI generated, whether it actually is or isn’t.
