This is a discussion where the Austrlian press needles Carney on topics related to Iran, as they should. Carney’s threading a tight situation and discussing many things in hypotheticals, but this took the Canadian PMO and many other world leaders aback.

Carney is not a great politician. He doesn’t know when to shut up (hence his statement of support for the war in India). So far he’s lucked into the right moment. I’m not sure what the next few years will bring.
