Now this is the content I’m here for.
Lol so by extension, dogs are authoritarians?
Nah, they’re just too innocent to understand the consequences. When they find a lost human, their humans are pleased and they get treats. Is the human a victim or a criminal? They don’t know. When they find drugs will the humans have a party? Or arrest someone? Probably both, maybe they’re just bringing that guy to the party.
.
Who knows what evils lurk in the hearts of men?
Cats.
I mean kind of. Dogs love to please humans and mine will literally lick boots.
But they do not rule others with an iron fist. At least not any dog I’ve wanted to be around would. In that way they’re usually about as unlike an authoritarian as you can get.
Edit: the more I think about it, the more “authoritarian” seems to exclusively mean “in favor of using authority over others” which is unrelated to “accepts authority”
One of the definitions of authoritarian is characterized by or favoring obedience. That being said, I’m just making a joke and I’m way to sober right now to properly debate this.
haha yeah, you are right about it being “one of” the definitions. I think traditionally though saying “authoritarian” is much more about how one would apply their ideas to others. Accepting the authority only comes as a consequence of a desire to rule over others.
Oh no. Police dogs are victims of animal abuse.
Cats don’t give a shit about pleasing people enough to be trained that way.
Cat: IM NOT A PART OF YOUR SYSTEM, MAN!
