Another one bites the dust!
I guess Google finally realized they don’t have to own the network connection in order to track people.
Makes sense. Being an ISP doesn’t really fit with being an advertising company masquerading as a tech company.
I guess it might make sense from a vertical integration point of view. You could host your ads directly from your customer’s modem or something.
Not that Google was doing stellar with their rollout, but I haven’t heard anything bad from anyone who’s actually used the service. This is one of the worst things that could have happened with their service.
It is a stellar service. Sad news, but not unexpected.
