I have designed multiple things with it.

Definitely not perfect, probably would have a difficult time in a commercial setting, but in the past 5 years has gotten a whole lot better!

It is kind of GIMP right now, I hope it gets to be like Blender as far as user experience.

Gosh I am currently trying really hard to learn blender but the UI doesn’t feel intuitive to me at all.

I super appreciate the power of the application and the open endedness but when I add an object and the camera suddenly seems to not show anything and I can’t move the camera, or some other random thing it happens it so damn difficult to determine where the problem is, it is like a synthesizer where most of the really important synthesizer functions are tiny little buttons put in different corners and critical functions are placed inconspiciously amongst fidgety, mostly auxillary functions.

I loveeee blender as an idea, its just damn there is like… not a very easy way to get my bearings it seems like and I have tackled learning allllll different kinds of software.

sigh not saying I am a genius or anything, I wish I was so I could get blender down and start focusing on making things

out of dassaults solutions, solidworks is more popular than catia. mostly because catia is insanely expensive.

Applying the concept of ‘boycott’ to gratis and libre software with no profit makes zero sense.
