    I’m a bit late but screw it…

What type of music is most commonly played? I’ve been to a few in the past and it’s usually trap music.

. Did it take any getting used to?

. What are some industry secrets?

. What type of person do strip clubs attract?

. I heard strip clubs can be pretty shady. Can you confirm?

. Where you invested in being an entertainer before this?

How long do you plan on doing this? Is it a long term plan or a temporary thing? Most the strippers I’ve known have done it as a temporary side gig for some extra money. Isn’t that what most strippers do? I can’t imagine a 50 year old wrinkly woman being a stripper.

For most its just a temporary thing yeah. But ive been dancing for like 6 years now and dont plan on stopping super soon. You can only do it for so long before your old but its not like I have an end date in mind right now

Thanks for the response. This thread was very interesting to read as I’m in a similar field. I’m not a stripper but I am a dancer/actress. Although I have noticed that being a dancer does overlap sometimes. Other dancers and some of my friends have been strippers at one point. Some still are. I guess they do require the same amount of showmanship and athleticism.

    Thanks for doing this AMA!

    1. How did you get your dancing to professional standard?
    2. How do you stay safe at work?
    3. How many amazing stripper shoes do you own? I’ve always loved them but absolutely can’t walk in heels.

Probably a dumb question given your username, but just to clarify:

Do you or do you not have moves like Jagger?

Not uncommon but places I’ve worked extras are kinda left up to the dancers to decide for themselves if they give them. And some girls do meet up with customers after to escort

It’s said that strip joints are the “canary in the coal mine” for upcoming recessions. I’m reading that a recession is coming, does that line up with what you’re currently experiencing?

Not really. I mean there are good and bad seasons but I have always managed to make a living from this. And even in my best times ever there were a few nights I did shit

Nothing just super dangerous. A couple guys saying creepy thing or getting handsy but security is good at kicking them out

I started in 2019. So there was a year there where I wasnt dancing when everywhere was closed. But then when I came back there were rules for a little while about touching and distance and masks but then those went away. And sometimes there are slower seasons so maybe that had to do with the economy but never to the point of thinking I need to do something else
