    Okay, so under normal circumstances, is this something the president is allowed to do, or is this something that should be congress’ decision? Because it feels like the latter.

    This is just super disappointing. PBS has some really great programming.

      It has guaranteed funding through 2027 by Congress, so no.

        This is a favorite GOP trick. They get elected and pass laws they know will be challenged. Because they are the government they can fund the fight with taxpayer money, while the Left has to fund raise. As a bonus, every dollar that goes to the Left lawyers means a dollar that doesn’t go to a candidate.

      No. I think almost all of his executive orders have been things only congress does. No one is really stopping him from pumping hundreds of them out whether or not they’re even allowed to work. Also, he’s trying to pressure a private company through executive order in this case. They can say “fuck no.” And they should say “fuck no.”

          And thus enters the fine line of being a tyrant. I never vote for the two-party/uni-party system, but is quite amusing to see the outcomes destroy democracy from both sides. Amusing in the most terrifying way.
