I think that would have the opposite effect on me. I’d be sealed shut for good.

If the horse doesn’t want to take off the headpiece, that usually means that it’s not finished eating the food that the owner put into the headpiece in order to get the horse to stick its head in there.
This is insulting to illiterate people.

I’m not sure what “left wing architecture” means. Because, to me, this looks like the sort of thing you have to do when the population grows like crazy. Those tend to be areas where women have little education and little power.
It’s past his jail time.

Me: No thanks, I’m pretty sure there is some electronic war going on between you and my ad blocker causing it.
Thanks. RIP Mitch Hedberg.
“Celebrating the five year anniversary of you asking me that question.”
(I forget which comedian I stole this from)
She must be a CNA.
The treatment for an unwanted pregnancy is abortion.
People really dance around this issue, but we simply need to give women access to safe abortions for unwanted pregnancies.
I also do not blindly hate Trump, but I will admit that my hate for him is extremely biased by the fact that I blame him for the death of a family member due to his ridiculous handling of COVID.
It’s very possible that my family member would have died regardless of who the president was, but the fact that Trump ignored the pandemic playbook that had been created ahead of time, and ignored expert advice in favor of public opinion makes me blame him.
It would be one thing if he actually tried to do all of the right things, and it just worked out badly, but the fact that he didn’t do his job properly is something I simply cannot get past.
So, I hate him. I know it’s not completely based in rationality, but it’s significantly based in rationality.
Why would he be executed at all?
If my sources are correct, there were 21,156 intentional homicides in 2022, 2265 people on death row at the end of 2022, and only 17 people actually executed in that year.
How many of those 17 people executed committed a single murder and no other crimes? If somebody else wants to do the research and prove me wrong, go ahead, but I’m going to assume that it’s 0. So, in the US, apparently we must have certain special laws that only protect wealthy celebrity propagandists and wealthy health care CEOs.
This isn’t the sort of crime that we execute people for in modern America. Even people who support the death penalty should agree with this.
Imagine if Eve hadn’t eaten that fruit, and we’d all still be mindless morons living lives of servitude. Actually, that doesn’t sound too different from what we have now, but at least we’ve got manga and anime.

I have a food allergy, and I’m always surprised if I ever find people who are lackadaisical about theirs.
I’m sure every person is different, but for me, when I have a bad reaction, my esophagus almost completely closes, I feel some of the worst pain in my life, and sometimes I can’t stop throwing up, which obviously doesn’t work too well since my esophagus is closed.
At least it doesn’t obstruct my airway. All I generally have to do is crush some Benadryl and hold it under my tongue when it gets really bad.

One of the things I’m really enjoying about this series is how, even though you’re constantly aware of her blindness and his being invisible, most of the actual plot points have little to do with that. They basically have the same things to overcome as anybody else.

I don’t have such an accurate memory that I remember what happened in Ep 1 vs. Ep 2, but it feels like there’s been character development and necessary exposition. And while the main plot hasn’t moved far forward, there’s certainly some plot development, like that girl’s dad getting back for her birthday.
As for character development, I was surprised Xylo agreed to Teoritta’s demand to let her fight and to simply protect her like that, even though I suspect he was just going along with her mid-fight. And obviously, there’s been some advancement in other characters, like Norgalle, Tatsuya, and I would argue even the general character of the Demon Lords will likely be important information going forward.
Counterpoint: Fuck cars.

Supervillains are in charge of everything, so they’ve made it illegal to be a superhero.
I remember my father insisting on buying American brands for decades because he believed they were higher quality, only for him to get lemon after lemon after lemon.
I managed to crash the only decent American car we had, which was a Buick. Otherwise it was multiple Fords, Chevrolet, Cadillac, all constantly needing to be in the shop.
When my sister and I got our first cars, we didn’t have any good impressions of American car companies and both bought used Japanese because they were a lot cheaper. And then, had zero problems.
The next car my dad bought was a Subaru.
