

The more I think about it, the more I reckon Europe should offer to take in the “worst of the worst” that the US administration is forcibly deporting.
Because I’m pretty sure Europe would take in overwhelmingly harmless, hard-working, talented and grateful people - grateful for being spared the cruel fate the fascist US regime had in mind for em.
There is a precedent for this: the US taking in refugees and deportees from early Nazi Germany some 90 years ago. And anybody who know anything about history knows most of those German expats became a huge net positive for the US - save for Henry Kissinger that is.













The US was most definitely NOT founded on this.
This was a poem written in 1883 to raise money for a pedestal for the Statue of Liberty that was donated by the French.
For historical accuracy, it’s worth noting that the United States were founded by religious nutjobs, and open-armed integration of foreign people and ideas was really, REALLY not what they had in mind.
