This is starting to look disturbingly like Germany in the 1930s.

Indeed it does. And in the US, “Door to Door” operations will probably end up in door-to-door shootings. Both by and of agents - I can understand if someone in a “stand your ground” state shoots some masked idiots who don’t want to identify themselves when breaking in…

Also, slug ammo is a must. You’ll need to get through that armor they wear and that’s your best bet. Teach the others in your house how to shoot and gun safety.

Yeah, but people tend to cover their head in first place. So, I guess that the crotch area is the second best place to aim if person wears the body armor.

I suppose that author meant using steel birdshot and buckshot as AP rounds. But, sadly, even steel buckshot doesn’t work well against body armor while also doesn’t provide much difference in creating a wound channel. But, the other thing is slugs, since there exist non-lead(copper, brass, bronze, iron, steel) slugs, which indeed act as good AP rounds. These ones are a real deal even against military armor rated for the assault rifles.

Thank you! I forgot to take in account the body armor aspect of bird shot vs slugs. I’ll delete my comment. My brother was weapons specialist in the army. So I just poorly regurgitated what he told me to use for home defense back in 2020.

And those guns are registered, so they’ll just target gun owners who vote blue first, especially recent purchasers.

We need more than guns. We needs something everyone has access to that they aren’t tracking ownership of. Something people can defend themselves with that ICE won’t know beforehand who has one or not.

They can exploit the same lax regulations to get unregistered firearms that the right does

      Yep.

Lifelong anti-gun libtard here. I’m in the process of getting armed. Been talking to a friend about my best options. Looking to also get concealed carry with concealed carry insurance.

Great idea with the insurance bit. I’m thinking of signing up for Attorneys on Retainer as I’ve heard good things about them.

AR-15 if they’re legal where you are is a good start. Lever action 30-30 otherwise.

It brings me no joy to hear you were completely wrong. Expected? Of course. But there is nothing to celebrate here. Not that there ever was in the “good times”.
