Including if you don’t celebrate. Just a normal day for you then?
If you do celebrate, was it a good time, or did something ruin it?
I’ve been up since 5am (we have kids). But Santa brought me a new coffee maker, so it balances out. The rest of the day will be quiet (or as quiet as the kids will allow). We did our big family dinner last night, which was fun. Merry Christmas! 🎄
Did you get a fancy coffee maker? A few years ago I splurged and got one from Costco that grinds the beans as it makes it, totally worth it.
I wanted a single serve drip coffee maker (I think Keurigs make terrible coffee). Nothing fancy, but it is what I wanted. 😃
I tried to make cookies to make up for the fact that I didn’t have time to shop this year, but they came out terrible and I threw them in the trash 😭 about to visit my family empty-handed
Hopefully it went well. If not, just tell them the cookies were delicious but they didn’t deserve them
Thank you! Fortunately (?) it turns out almost everyone was broke this year so it wasn’t like I was being showered with gifts and giving nothing in return. The kids had a lot of fun and didn’t notice I didn’t shop for them, thank goodness 😅
Sometimes I worry I’ve set a high bar for gifts because they’re into a lot of the same things I was into as a kid, so I have an easier time finding stuff they like than say, their grandma who can’t tell Marx from Beam Kirby. They’re different round pink jesters with smiley faces, grandma!!!
Whether someone celebrates or not, it’s at least a federal holiday!:-)
I took a nap, which was good.
Holidays are pretty good. Called the fam, my parents are coming out over the weekend so we’re opening presents then. Making a small feast for just us. Made Christmas cookies yesterday so that’s dessert. Other than that it’s just playing Hollow Knight and going on walks.
Dumb fuck at the gas station gave us the same lotto ticket 10 times
