I used to imagine it would be sexy to shower with my partner but I’ve learned that even women who appear physically delicate in most other situations still temper themselves like steel when they shower. I think that I would get burns from sustained exposure to water that hot.

Showering with my wife sounds like a sexy, fun idea, but it pretty much always means neither of us are at a temperature we like and whoever’s not under the water is getting cold.

Those setups with multiple showerheads solves the getting cold from not being under the water part!

Have one of those but our water heater can’t keep up with both heads on so we just end up both being cold. Someday maybe we upgrade heater to something better.

I put a sprayer coming off of one shower head and mounted it using one of those Ikea shower head holders. We both get our own shower head and, while the water pressure is not as wonderful as we’d like, we maintain enough hot water for a full shower and then some.

Bought a house from an older couple and the shower has a really wide, low shelf that doubles as a seat.

10/10 recommend, even outside of sexy times.

Our bathroom actually has a large bench in the shower but it’s invariably too cold to sit on

I’ve tried; we’d have to run it longer than we shower I think, and it gets cold again very quickly as soon as the water goes away.

Reminder that sex in the running shower is dangerous. Everything is slippery, view is obstructed and space is limited. High risk of breaking bodies or bathroom. Cannot recommend!

Not only that it washes off the lublication that you DO want, any water that is any warmer than luke warm will make cum a congealed sticky mess that doesnt like to come off surfaces and just ‘wash down the drain’. If it does wash down after some persuasion it has a good chance of sticking to all the hair being washed down the pipes to become a big-o-ball of hair & cum to block shit up.

Put the shower on high temperature, make it steaming hot, literally. Then turn the water jet against the wall so that neither of you gets scalded. Voi là, you turned your shower into a sauna.

Surprisingly the opposite in my house. Even though my husband runs warm and I run cold, if I take a shower right after him, I always have to turn the temp down. He likes to get scalded or something.

My wife would describe the one on the right as “freezing.” The correct temperature, according to her, would be right around the same temp as the surface of the sun.

why do people gender everything. I definitely like the water hotter than my wife does. whoops, we’re both trans I guess… what a way to find out.

also my wife is wrong, so are “men” according to whoever made this meme. the best temp is the exact temp that will scold your skin minus 1 degree Celsius.

came here to say exactly this - i like my showers steamy hot while hers are more lukewarm and make me shiver - well, for a shower together i will endure it, because i won’t be able to get that while burning her skin.

this does appear to just be an innocent meme based on maybe one anecdote. it reinforces stereotypical thinking and maybe wants to introduce a new one, but it’s not all that harmful. many people in the comments here shared their own experience and their own gender, and so someone who does visit the comments gains a bit of wisdom instead.

also screw scolding my skin, I love body temperature or slightly below that showers.

(reading this back, wow I sound like a crappy AI. my apolocheese.)

I’ve never been with a man that can tolerate my lava-hot showers, lol. I wonder if there’s a common reason for this?

I can’t stand a lukewarm or cool shower, gross.

I do localized hot, not all over. Burn me someplace I can control, not everywhere. It may be rooted in control masochism? No idea.

Iiiif I remember correctly and also I may be wrong, women tend to get colder easier - especially on limbs. Maybe that affects this? Lack of ability to hold temperature as well.
