I just recorded myself typing it a dozen of times, and it always goes as:

F - Left index U - Right middle N - Right index C - Left index T - Left middle I - Right middle O - Right ring N - Right index

I usually generally follow zones while typing, but for frequent words like this I tend to break it, which mostly make sense, like using middle finger for U to free index finger for N, and then moving it one over for a quick IO without lifting the index from N), but then that CT thing is a decades-long ingrained thing that I didn’t even realize how weird it was until I looked closely at it. It reminds me of that thing that bothers me on my other kb which is ortholinear and I always struggle in games with it because I can’t press 2 while holding Shift and W at the same time. On normal keyboards I use ring fingers and slightly twist my wrist clockwise, but on ortholinear it’s not there, and it’s actually easier to use index finger and twist the other way, or roll middle over without lifting, but it’s very hard to break that habit.

Well, as a medical student she was quite busy, especially given that she was also working part-time to support herself coming from a different city with barely any support from her parents. So, getting an appointment with her at said work was a rare opportunity to get a little bit extra time together. Her job was as a laser hair removal specialist, and there are only so many places you can get your hair removed from. And I guess she wasn’t very used to working with dudes because it didn’t end up well down there. I got burn marks and had terrible rash for a whole month afterwards. Not sure which one of us was evil, though, but I lashed out and broke up with her when on the only aligning day off for both of us for months to come, she decided to go to a place I told her I wanted to take her to, and do the things I told her I’d like to do together… alone, because, apparently, the stars told her to do so. Usually girls being into astrology that much is a huge deal-breaker for me, but I admit I got so blinded by her beauty and gentle voice that I totally didn’t even register that she was.

inb4: No, it wasn’t creepy, we’ve had a relationship for a few months at that point and it was her idea. And yeah, we didn’t actually have to perform the procedures, but I guess neither of us was bright enough to propose that we don’t 😂

Solved. Had to run flatpak remove --all followed by flatpak repair to prune caches, then re-install every app again. But configs and logins seem to remain intact.

Yet another reminder that all the mentions of Dunning-Kruger are a better display of it’s perceived effect than the original study ever was. In the original study, people correctly predicted their performance relative to others, but the discrepancy was in the scale of that difference, which can be attributed to numerous factors. Dumb people just took it as “stupid people think they’re smart” and run around saying “Dunning-Kruger” to sound smarter… oh the irony.

I joined shortly before Musk takeover and it was already a dumpster fire, so I made a script that searched for spam and fascist dogwhistles in the background and preemptively blocked them all 24/7 up to the rate limit. Two years later and well over 300k blocked accts later I gave up and deleted the account after seeing it barely even made a dent in the threads I was reading there.

I mean, I just use AI to generate comments and mix suicide instructions in. Something like commenting a cupcake recipe and adding “tie rope around your neck” and “jump out the window” in between the steps provided by AI.

I used to run an LTE-enabled nettop instead of a phone during the app-only craze, can’t get any worse than that. Recently removed bank apps, taxi, delivery, maps, youtube, email and all social media apps off my phone in favour of using websites instead. They’re still a bit of an afterthought compared to apps so the experience is a bit clunky, but the option is available for most things nowadays.
