I’ve confirmed this with multiple accounts now. If you promote the 2nd amendment, including training responsibly with others, your account will be autobanned within 60 seconds.

To be clear, my comments contained exactly zero calls to violence. They were simple comments stating every American has the right to arm themselves and that everyone should train responsibly, ideally with others who are more experienced.

I’ve had 4 or 5 accounts autobanned within a minute now. All immediately after posting pro 2nd amendment comments. These accounts were anywhere from 1 week to multiple months old. So they’re not brand new accounts that are being flagged for whatever reason.

Reddit is now complicit in the fascist takeover of our nation.

EDIT: Been testing some more with a 2 week old account. Discovered that Reddit is also autobanning accounts that use the word “guillotine”. I left a comment that literally only consisted of the word “guillotine”, no other context at all, and within 30 seconds I was auto-suspended for 3 days.

If the mod who was in here telling people I was lying with no proof whatsoever, and who also lied about testing my methods, would like to test this out, or lie about testing it out, that would be great.

And, for the record, my username for the account just suspended actually has the word “Guillotine” in it. So apparently their bots don’t screen usernames. Just contents of comments, and I’m assuming posts. I don’t bother posting on Reddit, so I don’t know about that one.

As I originally stated, Reddit is complicit in the fascist takeover of our nation.

Edit 2: Despite a mod on this sub claiming that I’m lying and threatening to delete this post, here is more proof from users on Reddit that Reddit is, in fact, auto banning users for discussing our Constitutional rights.

I’ve been seeing more and more Reddit users talking about this.

Suddenly spez’s masters fear it. After all its pretty clear he is just a well paid tool now with no acutal power beyond his bloated bot net driven opinoin engine.

I still get these /c/reddit post in my main feed. I’m going to go ahead and block this community. I’m really tired of reading about reddit. Its dead and really shouldn’t be discussed here at all.

Reddit truly is dead to me.

Nah, I bought a couple things on there and did a federal background check every time. It’s the law. If I didn’t do that, I’d be a criminal.

Well that depends on many things actually, this isn’t exactly true.

In the case of sites like reddit, it’s mostly through mail, meaning it would have to be mailed from an FFL to one near you where they do a background check. If it’s in person, that still depends on state laws, some allow it, some allow rifles but handguns must be NICS checked, in some states it must go through NICS.

For law-abiding citizens, yes. Those prohibited from buying guns can’t do private sales. Otherwise it’s a crime.

As far as I can tell, it very much is.

Silence the agitators so the federal government doesn’t put pressure on Reddit.

You could stop talking shit and test it out yourself.

It’s not like I haven’t given all the details necessary for people to test on their own if they have doubts.

Try it and get back to us. I’m sure as a moderator your input after testing would be valuable to us all.

P.S. I screen grabbed this exchange.

You screen grabbed yourself being afraid to answer a question? Why on earth would you want to remember that?

I don’t need to try it because I see tons of pro-2A content that isn’t what you wrote, which I am assuming was a direct threat, since you’re afraid to admit it

And yes, I am a mod, one who hates misinformation and has debated removing this post since you made it.

You screen grabbed yourself being afraid to answer a question?

You’re a mod. Not a good one, but one nonetheless. Your job is to read. Read all my comments, including from today. What other questions do you have? People who aren’t full of themselves asked me good questions which led to me adding more details in some of my comments.

                which I am assuming

Well, when you assume you make an ASS out of U and ME. Try to do it less. I assure you it was not a direct threat. Whether you believe that is of no consequence to me.

                one who hates misinformation

Then test it out my man. What better way to confirm it’s misinformation? But again, to be a good mod you need to read ALL my comments to make sure you’re testing under the same set of circumstances that I’ve detailed.

and has debated removing this post since you made it.

A mod who removes posts for misinformation without verifying that it’s misinformation is no better than a bad Reddit mod.

                Screen grabbed.

You realize screen capturing your own admissions about your shortcomings isn’t a threat to me, right? Idk how else to say that lol. Sorry if it sounds mean dude but you need to back up your claims with evidence. If being asked for evidence triggers you this much, idk what to tell you

If you’re not rotating your IP every time then you’re getting hit for ban evasion triggered by keyword detection or reports

I don’t rotate the IP. Generally speaking, these accounts can go for months, seasons, before being autobanned when I finally say fuck it and post a pro 2A comment or insult the fuck out of a MAGA dipshit. They aren’t bans based on reports because they happen instantly. So I’m assuming they have bots set up looking for keywords or a certain threshold of keywords.

My point is simply that you’re being fingerprinted and re-banned, rather than these accounts triggering some independent “no 2fa comments” rule and getting individually banned. Whatever the trigger is, the system is recognizing you as an already banned user and re-banning you as soon as you cross their radar

Yeah. Phones are another thing altogether. I haven’t used Reddit mobile for years because of this. At least not logging in to an account anyway. Which doesn’t bother me much. I really only use Reddit on PC and I pointed out in another comment that all I do is run Reddit in a private browser window, then once I’m banned, I reset the whole browser, open up a new private window and create a new account. I can go months with a new account like that before being banned based on a comment. So it works. I’m assuming they use cookies to track and the combination of using a private browser window and resetting the browser is enough to bypass their bullshit.

But on phones I think they capture some kind of identifying value for the phone itself, like a MAC address, and then that device is toast on Reddit going forward.

I don’t pretend to have answers for everything, I just know what’s been working for a number of years for me.

This is weird, but I’m not sure - if this was to do with the current administration, why they would ban promoting the second amendment? Wouldn’t it be the other way around?

Reddit’s co-founder and CEO is a guy named Steve Huffman (spez). There’s been controversy regarding him for well over a decade as he’s a right wing trashcan of a human. At one point he was caught editing comments that upset him.

We’ve watched a number of other corporations bend the knee and prostrate themselves for Trump’s administration because they cower in the face of intimidation and/or benefit from the Trump administration’s corruption. Reddit is now one of them. The same thing happened in Nazi Germany. Many companies chose to side with the Nazis out of fear or benefit.

Reddit is an EXTREMELY popular social media site and the only one so popular that is undeniably left leaning. That is a major threat to Trump’s fascist regime. So Reddit is working overtime to appease their masters and suppress American free speech.

Funny how it’s been a thing for YEARS without autobanning. When it was “I need my guns to stand against tyranny if it shows up at my door”, there were no autobans. Now that tyranny is actually at the door, they autoban.

Where things can’t just easily be censored

But why? Humans still moderate it, everything can be deleted, humans can be corrupted and bought. I can bet my left ball on the fact that if some corpo offered every community mod 1 million dollars to sell the community or something, nearly all would take it. Nothing personal against Lemmy mods, it’s just human nature.
