It was discussed (“joked about”) by officials shortly after proclaiming the gulf had a new name, so I’m not filing this under satire even if it’s a doctored image.

Sounds like a good idea to me, it shouldn’t be under control of a country that isn’t strong enough to defend itself without blocking it every 8 years, this isn’t about them at this point, say what you will about the ethics of the war they should not be in a position that they have to make that choice they are one small nation that is effected by it.

I actually agree with this. They shouldn’t have to do this, but have to because they’re being attacked by much more powerful countries, and this is one of the only ways they can strike back that can directly impact and influence average Americans.
