Literally the most hilarious thing I’ve read all week. Honestly I wonder if anyone who was involved in this article actually believes that.

It just reads like more placation of the angry masses. “no need to burn things down, we promise he will be gone soon, no protesting necessary either”

I’ll believe it, when I see it.

For the past 8 years they’ve been saying he “may” do this, or he “may” get punished for that, and everyone twiddled their thumbs until morons elected him into office again, making it all impossible again

Trump will die a free man, sadly. The justice system has already made up it’s mind and nothing he does will ever be punished, no matter what.

Now, how he dies is still up in the air. I think the odds are already not in his favor to have a peaceful death in his sleep. The best he can hope for is a disease taking him out at this point.

Can I downvote this any harder? We’ve been hearing “prison time” for years, just dangling a carrot. I’m not even going to bother reading this.

Yes, and there’s already been a conservative shooter attempt at assassinating Trump. I wouldn’t count that possibility out.

What could possibly make you think aiming a gun at the sitting president and pulling the trigger doesn’t count as an assassination attempt? Or are you simply shrugging that off because it doesn’t fit your narrative?

It was a setup for him to get publicity. His “wound” was gone the next day, and there’s no way the secret service would have let him get back up and stand there for his photo op. There’s a bunch of other inconsistencies too.

There was a moment when Trump wrote that Walmart must “eat tariffs” that I thought "oh we’re getting close now. Of course I don’t want the actual reign of terror that followed the French revolution, but I also wouldn’t feel bad if a few examples were made.

Briefly. You’ve seen his unhealthy fascination with what cookie monster would call “some-time food, not all-the-time food”, right? (When Cookie monster knows more about healthy choices than your president, it’s a sign)

After his first term he was a 34 count convicted felon.

And yes. Bush should be hanged. Anyone who has presided over US mideast policy in the last 25 years should be hanged. And yes that includes Obama and Clinton.

Enough war crimes between them to make a Canadian blush.

The crimes he’s convicted for are absolutist trivial compared to the crimes that US presidents and high level politicians (including Trump himself) commit on the regular. If he was actually going to face serious consequences for them, he wouldn’t have been convicted.

And yes. Bush should be hanged. Anyone who has presided over US mideast policy in the last 25 years should be hanged. And yes that includes Obama and Clinton.

Absolutely. But unfortunately they weren’t, which is why I find the last decade of predictions about Trump going to jail so unconvincing.

Which “legal experts” are claiming Trump could be facing prison? If they actually have JDs, they should be disbarred for incompetence.

SCOTUS has already ruled on this; the president has very, very broad immunity from any criminal prosecution. The case was dropped in Florida because his stealing highly classified documents was an “official action”; if that can be handwaved away, then so can defrauding the country with a shitcoin pump-and-dump.

But this article and the people who published it are deeply unserious.
