and it seems like season 5(!) is set for October, so I got some months to binge it all 🤩

There’s also the UK version which is way better. But way fewer episodes and it’s ended.

I already fill that role in my household.
The reason old buildings are “haunted” is usually carbon monoxide. That’s why modern buildings don’t have ghosts.

I think it can also have to do with pipes and stuff vibrating at a sub-audible frequency which can cause feelings of dread and fear. Horror movies use this technique pretty frequently.
It also depends on people who believe in ghosts. A normal person just hears pipes making noise.
I went to my buddies house one day and he was excited to show me a video he recorded… of particles of dust being lit up by the cameras light. I almost felt bad to say the truth because he was so excited to have captured ‘ghosts’.
They haunt the abandoned malls and apartment buildings rather than old houses…

The causes might be environmental.
Haunted houses are a product of the US culture and the oldest houses commonly in use there are from the 1700s.
But it also needs to be fairly isolated - nobody is going to notice a haunting in the middle of a city.“Haunted houses are a product of US culture”, right…
There are plenty of haunting stories that predate the US by several thousands of years.

I’d totally buy a haunted mansion if it’s haunted by a ghost from the 1990s. Hell yeah.
…Oh, I can imagine more headlines. Someone spending a lot of money to buy a house haunted by a communist, and the sociopolitical debate this purchase creates.
I would immediately find an exorcist to banish that bitch.
