They took it down to stop cancellations. The mass exodus hopefully continues.

America is built on shareholders getting profits. If they don’t make money, things change.

Yeah, there’s no chance a company like Disney can’t serve a SPA for cancellation at this scale. This is deliberate.

Single Page Application. I usually associate it with a fairly complicate web “page” that dramatically remakes itself in the browser, but is typically lightweight on the backend.

I would assume this is even simpler than “SPA” would suggest.

To be fair it’s the best place for Star Wars and Marvel content. But there are other means of acquiring such media, which I will not divulge on the internet.

That’s when you call your credit card company to let them know you want to cancel payment but the website isn’t allowing at this time.

Politely request cancellation of any automated payments going forward and if one went through recently see if it’s possible to initiate a charge back. Not sure if a charge back would work in this situation but worth a try.

If people would have gotten this upset back when it was Medi Hassan and Joy Reid we might not have gotten here.

Unfortunately I can’t cancel, as I’m not a subscriber. I’ll at least go and hammer refresh on their cancellation page with caching turned off.

Release another popular show and people will come back. Political activism by not watching tv is the bottom of the barrel.

I think “thoughts and prayers” are the bottom of the barrel. This is actively withholding money from Disney. And Disney LOVES money. If enough people stop giving Disney money, then the “line goes up” people will not get tens of millions of dollars and they’ll have to take some action. This isn’t a meaningless gesture. Obviously it depends on how many people cancel their subscriptions. How’s spotify doing nowadays?

You are right. There is always lower. But it would be naive to bet on internet hype for having any consequences. Yes , you, me, many here, might change purchasing behavior for longer. But this is a microcosm and such a tiny fraction of the mass.

Maybe you are young and full of hope and I am old and already disenchanted. Don’t change.

i too feel old and tired. Sometimes i make comments like you did. We should change.

we should stay as allies of the young who have the energy to believe in change
