He looks like an absolute badass

They really chose the worst photo to make him look bad.

Fateh’s higher education bill included tuition-free public colleges and universities and tribal colleges for students from families whose income is less than $80,000 a year.[18] It also included an increase to Hunger Free Campus grants,[19]emergency assistance grants.[20]

Fateh was the chief Senate author of a bill to provide minimum wages and worker protections for drivers for rideshare companies such as Uberand Lyft.

35 years old. I’m glad we’re having such young people hit the spotlight in politics (I say this as a young person myself)

As somebody in between being a young and an old, holy shit yes!

We in the exclusive Oregon Trail Generation (born late 70s into early 80s, tail end of gen x into the oldest millennials) get to watch how much harder it has gotten for young people, driven by ancient politicians who had things the easiest of any generation throughout their lives, economically speaking.

Please step back and analyze your need to call out people based on incomplete information to figure out why you couldn’t just ask for more info like the other comments in the thread.

This is my reason why I thought the first photo made him look like a thug.

When I first saw the photo I thought he looked very similar to the “I am the captain now” guy. That was my initial reaction, now obviously the more you study the images the more differences you find, so after a while you realize they a quite different.

My man looks like a nerd at his first high school debate. Where do you get gang member of a skinny guy in a suit?

I didn’t even notice the suit in the first photo until I saw your comment, I just saw his face and thought of the “I’m the captain now” meme.

fr, the original photo he’s wearing a suit and tie and sitting at a desk. There’s nothing there making him look like a “thug or gang member” beyond his race.

A disproportionate number of MAGA folk are descendants of European settlers who do not beleive in egalitarianism. They never believed in it. White supremacy was the cultural norm just a few short generations ago and in many ways it still is the implicit norm.

Real progress was being made in challenging this but the Nazis aren’t going to have it so… What’s it going to take for ‘the good ones’ to step up?

See this guy is a “problem” being a foreign born citizen running for public office. When we just finished up having a foreign born citizen fucking around in our federal government for 6 months in a position that was not voted for, or on. Ill give you 1 guess as to what the difference is between those two people I mentioned, and its the reason why both Fareh and Mamdani are under such scrutiny.

Look who loves democracy until it works.

Someone needs to push back against this and say, “We want this! We asked for it, by name!” Like your lame ass party and the other lame ass party don’t fucking do shit so we started looking for people that will do shit. Guess what, we found them. Grow up and accept that if you do unpopular things, you will become unpopular.

Republicans generally have not liked democracy since the 60s.

Many of the recent Republican Presidential candidates did not win the popular vote even when they got into office. Many Republican drawn maps are rigged / gerrymandered such as Texas and before that North Carolina. Republicans were lighting ballot boxes on fire in 2020 and 2024. A few Republicans tried to remove Term Limits for Trump. The only reason the Republicans have a house and senate majority is because the house is capped at 435 and the senate gives 2 seats to every state regardless of the fact that North Dakota has 800k population, Wyoming 590k, and California almost 40 Million.

Sometimes Republican voters will literally poll that Democracy doesn’t work.

Yes, it’s like the only time democrats are willing to bring a gun to the gun fight.

I’m not giving them a pass but gerrymandering efforts have benefitted the Republican party significantly more which is why it’s seen more as a red state issue
